"Liz did a 7 month assignment at Selfridges supporting a change programme for Head Office and Stores. During the assignment she managed a major Department restructure and the closure of a restaurant. "Liz was introduced to our business at the point where we were looking to revise our performance management process.  The business was formed from a division of a major corporate which had been split out and was now private equity backed. We were in the process of revising our HR processes and policies to make them more specific to the new organisation.  We had already developed a set of competencies across the business and now wanted to launch a firm wide consistent Performance Management toolkit using the competencies as core to this process. 

We had made a number of acquisitions over the past year and each acquisition had different needs and processes.  Liz came in to review the current processes across the organisation and devise a common approach.  We were looking for a Performance Management toolkit that was fit for purpose for around 1800 employees, located at 7 sites across the UK and Northern Ireland, which we could roll out using our company intranet.

We had a very tight timescale for the project and time from Liz coming in and the Performance Management toolkit being launched was around 6 weeks.

Liz has a very consultative style and quickly built a good rapport with both myself and my Head of HR.  She grasped the scale of our challenge very quickly and from the initial meeting engaged fully with what we needed to achieve.  She asked insightful questions and provided excellent inputs through each of our meetings, guiding us towards an appropriate solution.

Liz’s outputs were of very high quality.  The draft document was with us very quickly and despite the short timescales involved she had managed to produce a document that both provided the solution and used language appropriate to our business.

The final product was also high quality and there was very little additional work involved to get it posted on the intranet.  It ticked all the boxes in terms of a best practice approach that could be tailored to each business area, without losing the requirement for a consistent framework.  We have been working with the toolkit for the past 2 months.  It has been very well received and each part of our business has now completed objective setting reviews using the new materials.
